Setting Up Mailchimp Integration

Connect your Mailchimp account to send generated email newsletters straight to your audience lists.

The Mailchimp integration lets you push a generated email newsletter into your Mailchimp account as a campaign draft, ready to review and send. Connection is handled entirely through Mailchimp's official OAuth — no API keys to copy and paste.

Step 1: Go to Settings and open Integrations

From your dashboard, open Settings and then Integrations. You'll find the Mailchimp card in the grid.

Step 2: Click Connect Mailchimp

Select Connect Mailchimp (yellow button, black text on the card). There is no form on our side, so you go straight to Mailchimp login and consent.

Step 3: Log in and authorize

If you are not already logged in, Mailchimp will ask for your credentials. After that, choose Allow to let Pro Forma Copy create and manage campaigns on your behalf.

Step 4: Confirm the connection

After approval, Mailchimp redirects you back to Integrations. A green "Connected" badge appears on the Mailchimp card showing your account name and data centre region.

Publishing an email newsletter

  • Open any generated email from My Library.
  • Use Publish and select Mailchimp.
  • Pick the audience list you want from the dropdown.
  • The content appears in Mailchimp as a campaign draft, ready for your final subject line, review, and send.

💡 Drafts only

Pro Forma Copy creates campaigns as drafts. Sending always happens inside Mailchimp so you retain full control over scheduling and audience selection.
