Setting Up WordPress Integration

Follow a straightforward setup to give Pro Forma Copy publishing access to your WordPress site.

Connecting WordPress lets Pro Forma Copy publish AI-written posts for you. The steps below walk through both Pro Forma Copy and your WordPress admin so setup feels predictable.

Step 1: Open Settings & Integrations

In the dashboard sidebar, open Settings and then choose the Integrations tab in the left column (alongside Brand Profiles and Preferences).

Settings → Integrations — WordPress card with Connect WordPress.

Step 2: Open Your WordPress Profile

In your WordPress admin area, open Users → Profile. That page includes the site URL and username Pro Forma Copy needs.

Step 3: Note the Site URL and Username

At the top of your profile, you'll see the Site Address and Username. Keeping those two values handy makes the connection step quick.

Copy your Site Address and Username — you will need both in Pro Forma Copy.

Step 4: Generate an Application Password

In the Application Passwords section, create one with a label such as "Pro Forma Copy". WordPress shows the generated password once, so it helps to copy it right away.

Scroll to Application Passwords, give it a name, and click Add New Application Password.

Step 5: Connect in Pro Forma Copy

  1. Back in Pro Forma Copy, open Connect WordPress on the WordPress card.
  2. Add your full WordPress Site URL (https), Username, and Application Password in the modal.
  3. Select Connect. On success, the card shows Connected and lists your site.
The modal title is "Connect WordPress"; primary action label is Connect.
